Performing Arts: Drama for People with and without Disabilities

Renegade Garage Players Summer Theater - Begun in March 1993, this is the group’s bedrock program: theater which involves people with and without disabilities in full-length productions. In the past, the group has performed challenging play selections by such authors as Ibsen, Wilder and Ionesco. Actors, directors, technically oriented people, and general volunteers are all needed to help. The groups prides itself on incorporating people of all ability levels and interests into the play productions.  Three to four shows are usually held each summer. Admission is by donation.   Donations made at performances benefit the Renegade Garage Players, Inc.  This year's shows include To Kill A Mockingbird, The Good Doctor, Romeo and Juliet, Hedda Gabler and Godspell.

Community Service: by People with and without Disabilities

Monthly Service Projects - The group performs several service projects for other Greater Cincinnati non-profits. The group finds ways for all participants, regardless of ability level, to make meaningful contributions to the service project. Past service sites have included The Brighton Center, the Pendleton Heritage Center and the Over-the-Rhine Neighborhood Garden.  When possible, the Renegade Garage Players will work in conjunction with other service groups such as Give Back, Cincinnati.

Continuing Education: for People with and without Disabilities

Weekend Workshops – These educational and fun workshops give participants the opportunity to learn about diverse topics such as the environment, acting, mock trial, fitness and poetry. Events usually take place at Judson Village Retirement Community and run on Sundays from 1 PM to 8 PM.  This year's programs include an Indoor Gardening Workshop, which includes a trip to Krohn Conservatory, and an Art Appreciation Workshop, which includes trips to the Contemporary Art Center and the Taft Museum.
